Lorenzo Bizzarri achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnologies (2017) and subsequently a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies (2020), both from the University of Perugia. During his Master’s degree, he carried out an internship at BioSolveIT, drug discovery software developer company where he performed virtual screening in SeeSAR and also developed KNIME workflows related to structure-based and ligand-based drug discovery.
In January 2021 Lorenzo started his PhD at OmicScouts in Germany under the supervision of Dr. Hannes Hahne. His research is focused on the selectivity and affinity characterization of the most promising inhibitors in pathogen lysates, demonstrating MEP pathway enzymes engagement, using chemical proteomics techniques.
