Antoine Lacour obtained his Master’s degree from the University of York in 2016 during which he was involved in the optimization of herbicidal compounds at Syngenta. He then joined the lab of Prof. Floris Rutjes at Radboud University Nijmegen working on the discovery and subsequent optimization of novel small molecule heterocyclic epigenetic modulators for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. In 2019 he joined another of Prof. Rutjes’ research groups, working on the optimization of negative allosteric modulators for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Since October 2020, he is working as a PhD Student under the supervision of Prof. Anna Hirsch on the discovery and optimization of inhibitors of the anti-infective target DXS.
